Vice Captain — #6 — Rainy City Rollergirls
Years playing derby?
3
Favourite bout played?
I always enjoy playing Glasgow and London Rockin’ Rollers as they were our first ever games at the Roll Britannia tournament. It’s great to play them year on year and see how much each team has progressed.
Derby ambition?
Being selected for Team England has been my focus for 2011. I now hope to skate to the best of my ability for the team in the tournament. I am working on my fitness and strength as well as watching as much derby as possible to try and achieve this.
How did you feel when you found out you made it onto team England?
When I read the email the first thing I did was cry. Second, I rang my Mum! I had a huge grin on my face all day and I definitely feel privileged to be part of such a great squad and coaching team.
Who are your idols?
London Rollergirls as a whole have been an inspiration. Their performance at the recent Eastern Regionals has shown what can be achieved with team dedication, and I admire the hard work that has gone in to making that happen. I would also love to skate like Suzy Hotrod one day!
